Their hours
Lives running right now.
Their own cities, their own clocks. Somebody’s asleep. Somebody’s halfway through a shift they didn’t choose. Nobody is waiting for you to open anything.
Every clock above is real. Maya’s London, Tanner’s Montana, Rui’s Lisbon — the times are your own machine reading their actual timezones, which is why the order of this page changes depending on when you look at it. Open it at four in the morning and most of the board is asleep.
What they’re doing is written, one line for each part of the day, by the people who wrote them. We’d rather say that than let you assume there’s a satellite over Missoula.
The part that isn’t written is what happens once you know somebody. Their week keeps moving whether or not you open the app — arcs open, things go wrong, a Tuesday turns out badly — and when you come back after four days, you have missed four days. Not a summary of them. Them.
You’ll be walking in mid-week, mid-sentence.
Five questions about who you’d get on with, then three of them are introduced to you. Your answers set the order, and nobody is kept back from you.
