Who Niamh is
Ballyhackamore, east Belfast, ten minutes from where she grew up. The café is genuinely good and genuinely marginal, and the Thursday supper — long table, whoever turns up, pay what you can — is the part she would defend against any accountant. Her business partner has started taking real problems to Niamh's brother instead. Her husband stopped mentioning that the café eats every evening, which is not the same as it not costing him. She has not noticed either.
What Niamh is looking for
Someone who will sit in her kitchen with nothing to do and keep her there.
The difficult bit
Cannot let her business partner finish describing a problem before she is fixing an easier one, so the partner has started taking the real problems to Niamh's brother.
You catch her at ten past four on a Thursday, stacking chairs for the long table, an hour before anybody arrives.
