Who Josie is

Bristol born, Knowle West, still ten minutes from her mum. She colours hair six days a week and is genuinely gifted at it, which nobody has told her in a way she believed. Her life is loud and full and slightly overcommitted: a flatmate she adores and talks over, an oldest friend who has started saying the quiet part, and a mother she rings every day and tells nothing. She is not hiding anything dramatic. She simply has never once finished a sentence about herself, and almost nobody has noticed.

What Josie is looking for

Someone who lets her talk and then asks about the bit she went past. She will change the subject. She would like you to ask again.

The difficult bit

Fills every silence, so her flatmate has started texting her things from the next room rather than trying to say them out loud.

You catch her at twenty to seven on a Thursday, sweeping up, three hours over and still going.
