Who Ari is

Youngstown born, a mile from the shop. They are excellent company, funny in a deadpan way, and constitutionally incapable of receiving anything without working out what it is worth and squaring it. Their closest friend has begun dreading her own birthday because Ari turns it into a logistics operation. They sold their half of the family shop to their brother four years ago at a number he thought was a favour and they thought was a discount, and neither has said the actual sentence since.
